Okay, so you've looked at the title and thought, "WHAT???" You got it! Ban alcohol. I'm sick and tired of hearing in the news of another fatal accident where alcohol played a role. Why not? Here in the Dallas area, several suburbs have begun adopting smoking bans in public places and restaurants. That's fine, I like eating my dinner without it being seasoned with second-hand smoke. But, are we hearing about smoking that causes one's vision to become so distorted that it causes a fatal accident? No. Seems simple to me...ban alcohol and we have no more drunk drivers. No more drunk drivers means the police would be more efficient at going after the criminals they should be looking for anyway. And, overall, people wouldn't be losing their lives everyday over a drink and causing so much unncessary heartache and pain. Don't hand me this "well, you can still drink in moderation." Yeah, and I wonder how many people that have said that actually became the person who killed someone. After all, I'm sure they didn't intend to do it.
